Starter won’t go but fixed without tools

I was heading out on my 2009 Kawasaki KLR650 and hit the starter. Clunk, lights out. Voltage looked fine but turned out the contact grease was causing trouble. I scrubbed the leads with my key, tightened the terminals, and it fired right up.
Would a small brush and fresh grease be worth keeping under the seat?

A small brush and some dielectric grease are great to have on hand especially with older bikes like the KLR. Quick cleanups can save a lot of hassle on the trail. Do you carry any other emergency tools or spares when you ride?

I have the factory tool roll and a multi tool but not much beyond that. This recent battery issue has shown me that a few extra items are essential. What are the most common failure points I should have tools for on a bike like this?
