I was heading out on my 2009 Kawasaki KLR650 and hit the starter. Clunk, lights out. Voltage looked fine but turned out the contact grease was causing trouble. I scrubbed the leads with my key, tightened the terminals, and it fired right up.
Would a small brush and fresh grease be worth keeping under the seat?
