Compact LED Aux Lights

Just added some aux lights to my 2022 KLR 650 and thought I'd share a quick note in case anyone is thinking about doing the same. I went with a compact LED set wired through a relay to the high beam circuit, a super simple setup but makes a world of difference on darker rides or early commutes.
The mounting was pretty straightforward too with basic brackets on the crash bars, and I ran a dedicated fuse off the battery just to keep things clean and yay I haven't noticed any drain issues so far, even with heated grips running. If anyone is curious about specifics or has a cleaner way to wire them in, I'm all ears

You talking about the oem aux lights? Yeah they're pretty awful, easily destroyed and way bigger than they need to be and the on and off switch is awkwardly stuck on the far right of the dash. Better consider Cyclops Aurora lights instead, they're great with an amber halo and come with a handy handlebar switch for about $250

Nice setup. Wiring to the high beam and adding a dedicated fuse was a good move. Great to hear there's no drain even with heated grips running. If youre ever looking to tidy it up further, a handlebar switch or using a fuse tap with an ignition source might give you even more control.

Do you think something like this is doable on a 2006 model? Haven't done any electrical work and I don't want to mess things up.
